How does this medicine work
Avelumab is a clear liquid that is injected into a vein and it works as follows:-
Avelumab is a type of treatment that helps the immune system fight cancer. It's an antibody that attaches to a protein called PD-L1, found on cancer cells. When PD-L1 connects with certain proteins on immune cells, it stops them from attacking cancer. Avelumab blocks this connection, allowing immune cells to work better against the cancer. In studies done in labs, avelumab has been shown to also help natural killer cells attack cancer cells directly.
