Atezolizumab is a clear liquid that is injected into a vein and it works as follows:- 

Atezolizumab is a type of treatment that helps the immune system fight cancer. It's a special kind of antibody that attaches to a protein called PD-L1, found on cancer cells and certain immune cells. When PD-L1 connects with other proteins on immune cells, it slows down their ability to attack cancer. Atezolizumab stops this connection, allowing the immune cells to work better against the cancer.

Other drugs may interact with atezolizumab. Check with our Oncology Clinical Specialist before you start or stop taking any other drugs. 

Atezolizumab may harm the baby if used during pregnancy. It is best to use birth control while being treated with atezolizumab and for at least five months after the last dose. Tell your doctor right away if you or your partner becomes pregnant. Do not breastfeed during treatment and for at least five months after the last dose.
