How does this medicine work
Anastrozole is a tablet that you take by mouth and it works as follows:-
Anastrozole is a medication that helps treat breast cancer by blocking the production of estrogen in the body. Estrogen can fuel the growth of certain breast tumors. Anastrozole stops an enzyme called aromatase from making estrogen, which is crucial for tumor cells. It's especially effective in postmenopausal women since estrogen is mainly produced in fat tissue after menopause. Even after stopping the medication, estrogen levels stay low for several days. Unlike some other drugs, anastrozole doesn't interfere with the production of other important hormones in the body. It also doesn't have any estrogen-like or male hormone-like effects.

Tell us if you are taking other medicines like:-
Other drugs may interact with anastrozole. Tell your doctor if you are taking other drugs as you may need extra blood tests or your dose may need to be changed. Check with your doctor or pharmacist before you start taking any new drugs.
Because anastrozole works by reducing the amount of estrogen produced by your body, it is recommended that you avoid taking estrogen replacement therapy such as conjugated estrogens
