How does this medicine work
Alectinib is a capsule that you take by mouth and it works as follows:-
Alectinib is a powerful medication that targets specific genes in cancer cells called ALK and RET. By blocking these genes, it stops cancer cells from growing and spreading. Alectinib works by interfering with the signals that these genes send inside the cells, leading to the death of the cancer cells. It's effective against many different types of mutations that cancer cells can develop to resist other treatments. Additionally, alectinib also blocks other proteins called LTK and GAK, which further helps in fighting the cancer.
